Yarraville Gardens is one of the real gems of Melbourne’s inner west. Just a short walk from the heart of Yarraville Village, the gardens are a leafy retreat where locals and visitors alike come to unwind.

With wide lawns, heritage trees, and plenty of shady spots, it’s a perfect place for a picnic, a kick of the footy, or simply stretching out with a book. The gardens also feature a well-loved off-leash area for dogs, winding paths for walking or jogging, and a children’s playground that makes it a go-to spot for families.

On weekends, it’s not unusual to see community cricket matches, yoga groups, and gatherings under the rotunda, giving the park a relaxed and welcoming vibe.

I’ve enjoyed a few picnics in the park – highly recommend!
