This vintage inspired artwork celebrates the stately Footscray Town Hall on Napier Street Footscray. This building looms up like a giant European mansion on an intersection that includes the local police station, the historical Ercildoune building and the Station Hotel.
Also known as Maribyrnong Town Hall, it was built in 1936 to the design of architect Joseph Plottel in the Romanesque Revival—Richardson Romanesque style. It replaced the previous town hall on the same site, which was demolished in 1935. The building is now used as the main council chambers of the City of Maribyrnong.
Available in A4 and A3 sizes.
