Snafu Design is a Melbourne-based jewellery and accessories label specialising in handcrafted laser-cut earrings, brooches and jewellery organisers. A dynamic sister-duo, Lhasa (pictured) & Yomi have been creating their distinct and vibrant designs since 2013. Both with backgrounds in fashion, craft and jewellery design, the Snafu sisters began their business as a way to spend time together creatively and to harness their creative energy.
Snafu’s inspiration comes from their urban surroundings living in inner-city Melbourne, the natural beauty of their childhood home on the far north coast of New South Wales, and their Japanese heritage. Their extensive range of acrylic laser-cut earrings make bold use of shape and colour, while Snafu’s clutches feature bright patterns on natural fibres such as Japanese-sourced cottons and linens. All of their products are, from the initial design stage to the final photographed image, lovingly made in their studio in Brunswick. Their forever-evolving range brings a striking blast of colour and pattern to the everyday.
