Each of our basket is individually handwoven in a remote village in Myanmar from colourful pallet strapping, utilising reused and recycled components as available. They are designed to last a long time and are fully recyclable at the end of their life
The frame is made from bamboo and rattan purchased from local farmers and the basket is woven using Burmese traditional weaving methods that have been passed down for generations.
This style is widely used by locals (including monks) in their daily lives to carry fresh produce, fish and anything that needs carrying ..... and are a must have accessory for any Melbournian!
