A unique hand printed poster using the Cockney Rhyming Slang phrase "Barney Rubble" (Trouble). Each letter is handcut from Lino. These letters are placed onto a template, rolled with water-based inks and then hand printed onto quality printmaking paper. The irregularities in the application of colour and small marks on the final printed poster are not flaws but are characteristic of this printmaking technique, and add to the individuality of the piece.
This poster’s aesthetic is inspired by the typography and graphic design of the Bauhaus. The Bauhaus was a very influential design school in Germany between the two World Wars. The proportions of this poster are based on the Golden Ratio.
